The Hidden Art of Palettes

I was asked recently if I had any photos to contribute to a blog about artists palettes and found these. The palettes were used during a brief period when I painted with oils. The first two are from old plastic ice cream tubs and the third is a biscuit tin lid. They remind me of the pictures they helped me create, although it is slightly disheartening that the palettes seem to have stood the test of time rather better than the paintings.
