    1. Thats good. I photograph the desks just as they are without any aesthetic interference, so they're happy accidence. The pin board (found on the street yesterday) is more considered.

  4. This is what my desk used to look like when I was free to draw and paint all day. Now, looking after tinies, my painting is packed away to make room for theirs! Oh to still have a studio!! Thanks for sharing a glimpse of yours, looks wonderful!

    1. I can understand your frustration Caro, having in the past spent quite a few hours away from the studio doing my part of looking after children. But kids are also inspiring and its refreshing to see how creativity flows from them in a very natural and unforced way. So even though child care is no longer part of my day job I do miss the influence of that special but all to brief time.

  6. I know what you mean about distractions...I seem to be doing everything apart from writing at the moment. I must say I'm a bit jealous of your workspace though, it looks organised (though maybe this is one of your distractions!) and above all CLEAN. Our house is so effing dusty and I keep meaning to get some shelves... Love the photos.

    1. I think my photos must creating a misleading impression as my studio is not very clean or organised although its very nice that you think it is. This last year is the first time I've had my own studio rather than sharing a space and I'm still adapting to the concept of having more than one desk, which is a good problem except I can never find anything.
