My Lost Picture

Night

After many frustrated attempts to finish this picture, I decided to over paint it. Unlike losing a picture, when there is always hope it can be rediscovered, overpainting with many layers of paint is somewhat more final. Luckily I came across a scan of it and thought it worthy of resurrection. Perhaps the fleeting overlaying vapour trails are fitting imagery for this ghost of a lost picture.

Artists Open House 2017
